Chip Ganassi Racing was back out front of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the defending race winners clinging to the lead Sunday morning in the twice-around-the-clock endurance race. Joey Hand put the No. 01 BMW Riley out front when Michael Shank Racing had an extended pit stop with about six hours remaining.

IndyCar driver Justin Wilson had the Ford Riley out front Sunday morning, and with just over six hours to go has given MSR a comfortable lead over the defending race winning team from Chip Ganassi Racing.

One former Grand-Am champion was knocked out of the Rolex 24 at Daytona less than an hour into the race, and another lost several laps a quarter of the way into the twice-around-the-clock event. Max Angelelli took the No. 10 Chevrolet to the garage with an engine issue 25 minutes into the race. The team sent the car back out after a few minutes, but Angelelli was back in the garage for good moments…

One of the top teams in the Rolex 24 at Daytona was knocked out of the event before the first hour. The SunTrust Racing team headed to the garage with an engine issue 25 minutes into the twice-around-the-clock event at Daytona International Speedway. The team spent five minutes working on the Chevrolet, then briefly returned to the track.
